The overall differences between the Secondary 1 G3 and G2 syllabus can be summarised as follows:


  1. Depth of Topics: The G3 syllabus covers similar foundational topics as G2 but delves deeper, adding more complexity, especially in algebra, geometry.


  2. Additional Content in G3: G3 introduces advanced topics not covered in G2, such as:

    • Functions and Graphs: Including Cartesian coordinates, graphing linear functions, and gradients.

    • Complex Equations: Solving fractional linear equations and formulating equations from problems.

    • Advanced Geometry: Properties of quadrilaterals, polygons and their symmetry and angle sums.
